Consitancy for Once

Hello and welcome to the second post made on time in a row! It's a rare event and you that I am going to cherish it and you should as well if you enjoy the blog. Today we are going to go over some of the plans for the near future ( like a week or two ), some drafts I have made and the future of my posts.With out further ado I'd like to start with the life and blood of these posts with the HP which is going to be different than the usual crude sketches on paper and instead be crude drafts on Photoshop!

Today we have three covers to go over and my plans to improve each and everyone. Please keep in mind that I did these around 10 pm to 12:30 pm after doing tons of home work and that they are just drafts. These are by no means " final copies " so they are going to change especially if they are the last one which I am most likely going to go with. As for this first one we have here, I loaded up a drawing I did of my profile goggles and planned out the background. I used a brush preset with dark orange and dark blue in order to get the textured feel and just typed out the title ( P.s. the title is going to be " Little Legends " not " The Little Legend " ). In the end it just felt too lazy of a design and didn't really stick with me.

 This next one I decided to experiment more with lighting and a different background. First, I painted unevenly ( mainly focused on the center ) with an orange brush and set the blending option to vivid light at a 50% opacity. This was done to give it a bit of a warm glow to the whole scene. Next, I drew out the horizon with a slanted line and decided that the ground would be asphalt. I did give a slight attempt to texture it but for the problems I was getting just to add that final touch to a draft didn't seem worth so I decided against doing so. Over all this is a good idea but it wasn't what I was looking for. It comes of to me as too emotional which for the comic series based around my life will have some elements of emotion most of my day to day life is more comedic and when even those rare occasions where I am emotionally down pop up, they are usually not very impactful as I don't stay sad long unless something really major happens. This is a good idea to start with for the next cover.

 This cover looks fairly simple and one would be rightfully justified to think so as the thought process took an instant but it was the hardest one to make and took the most time. I've already noted that I would add more colors to the background but the simple yet crude made letters kinda give the mood of the mostly rough around the edge yet interesting events that happen to me in my day to day life. Heck, sometimes my life has some of the most odd unfavorable events that you'd think that some of them were straight out of a cartoon yet they are not. Whether it'd be unintentionally stabbing myself, falling off roof tops or even being sent crashing into a wall by a punch these events are kinda reflected by the style of the words. Now of course this comic series isn't always going to be me just being an actor of the show Jacka** but it will entail some events that or thought that I experience that I think would be enjoyable to read with a visual aid.
Now onto the reason I worked so hard on making a cover. I've stated before that before I can work on a comic series for TFTBU or any upcoming story driven series I may start, I have to get some way to practice not only drawing but drawing constant characters in different poses, drawing settings and getting used to the general stuff of making a comic series or even animation. So to have a bit of fun, gain some audience and follow a similar path to some people I admire in the comic or even just art community I decided to do a comic series about me and just the sometimes weird and interesting stuff I go through. Of course, since I spent almost half a decade enjoying free to read sites such as Webtoons and or Tapastic, this and TTBU will be completely free to read and enjoy. Once I get the hang of things and have a few episodes of " Little Legends " out then my Patreon page will be up and ready for you guys to support me and for me to give you a bit extra.
On another note, some may think my drawing skills aren't good enough to start a comic series but I do have a grasp on things like emotions and anatomy. Also, one of my favorite artist by the name of Randowis ( LINK HERE ) started off with a little less than a grasp than me at the moment ( picture below is from one of his first comics ). That being said, he improved to the point where ( you should check out his latest work ) his art is some of the most visually stunning and filled with emotion.

That leaves us with our last topic of the week and that is the posts. You see, I have a less than great track record keeping up with posts as is without fully drawing out entire scenes and moving them to the computer to be colored and refined. This will mean that my scheduling and even energy are both going to be pushed to their limits ( maybe not so much on the energy as I just get lazy... ) so while I plan to post every week with the comic, posts here might slow down. I don't think I'll ever stop writing my blog but with additional work being done it is a given. Also I have gotten complaints that my blog entries are not too much fun and I've tried to add more humor but it is hard to do for me without a story so my blog will continue to focus on techniques and updates on all my stuff and my web comics, art, stories and someday animations will have humor/action/romance or whatever emotion is appropriate to the topic. IT'S MEEE!

HELLO! and welcome back to yet again another high " quality " post of LLG ( The Little Legend Guy ) that took a year to make cause I'm a lazy piece of sugar honey ICED tea! So, what do I have in store for you lovely viewers for today?! Could there be another chapter of TFTBU ( The Fates That Bind Us ) out today?! Could I have finally achieved some sort of mastery even at the slightest for the art that I have actually committed more than a year trying to improve?! COULD I FINALLY START DOING YOUTUBE VIDEOS LIKE I PROMISED?!?! Nah this is just gonna be a post for excuses for me not achieving any of those... Well let's jump right into it!

 As per usual our first topic will be the art. For this weeks ( or month because I've been lazy on posts) HP ( Horrible Picture ) of the day is gonna include several entries. The first one is on the left of this very text and is one I drew mainly to practice character design, Hair and expressions ( very light on the last one though ). It is a drawing of the main character of the book I am writing, TFTBU, who is known as Tera. It was all sketched out and inked on paper so no digital stuff was done to the image ( other than the the Instagram filters ). Some things I'd like to note is that this is the first time I've ever drawn female hair and the third time I've drawn hair recently ( and by recent I mean in the last 7 months ). Also, I got halfway done inking the sketch when I realized that Tera is actually supposed to wear glasses so I messed that up quite a bit...

  Next up is a drawing of a secondary character of the book who is slightly based of myself ( character is Mateo). The features are based around me and many people have actually said they can tell that it's me so I'm really happy that I've managed to cartoon myself slightly although I do plan to tweak the character's features a bit. As the same with the last drawing ( the one of Tera ) I forgot the iconic " Goggles " that truly marks the character as me which made me very sad but as for the things I was practicing with this drawing such as, 3/4 view, character design, expression and hair all came together quite nicely. Lastly I did sketch and ink this one much like the other and if you are wondering why I inked so much ( I don't very often unless it is an important drawing which they are but that's not the reason.) it is because there is a way to manipulate the photo with your mobile smart phone to actually make drawings easier to see if they are inked which is why the next drawing won't look so hot...

This is what a non-inked drawing looks with my phone even with some editing... It's a bit hard to see but you can see the guides I've made for the hair and eyes but have yet to finish them. I do plan on doing the whole thing same as the other drawings as this is supposed to be the other side character Ethan. It'll focus on character design, expression, hair and the 3/4 view. Definitely will be a difficult one as the other two characters could get away with messy hair but Ethan has styled hair so yeah... Well that does it for today's HP.
On to the next topic, YouTube! Those who know me or those who have watched the short film that I did for UIL ( University Interscholastic League ) called, " It's Just a Dream " link is right HERE so check that out if you want but back to the topic! I am not camera shy so YouTube should be no problem for me right? CORRECT! problem is however ( here comes the excuse ) I am missing some sound equipment... I have the mic and some audio software ( Adobe Audition CC ) but if I don't want to have to lug my laptop to every film setting and use my phone as the connection for the mic! I have to buy a headphone and mic split jack. So yeah... Might do just a voice over video or a stationary one but IDK if my attention span can handle it so we'll just have to wait and see! Also... maybe a surprise to ya'll but I am not the most proactive person so I might also get lazy and that'll definitely cause delays...
Well to not degrade myself any longer for my laziness and procrastination let's get onto the next project I haven't worked on in awhile! TFTBU or The Fates That Bind Us ( just in case you didn't get the acronym after the time I mentioned it at the beginning ) is still on hiatus because I suck at writing, drove my story into a whole, got rid of months of work and am now thinking of how to recover. That being said, I think of the story all the time, new chapter coming soon! Also I'm working on another series so that there will be something to kinda help spread my work a bit but it's going to be very similar to TFTBU.
To end today's post, I'd like to talk a little about a school thing I did this week that really was fun! So, those who know me, and some who don't, know that I am part of the AAVTC ( Arts, Audio, Video, Technology, Class ) in my highschool. This is a program that anyone at my school can take and it can lead to specialized classes for things like Film, Graphic Design and Animation. Thing is, I've taken at least the base level for all of the things offered by this program and have been highly active doing things like school news, UIL and etc. That being said I and another student who is a classmate and friend of mine took up the opportunity to join our two teachers in charge of the program to visit the middle school to promote the program. I had a great deal of fun and the kids really loved our presentation as we were the loudest and had some pretty nice videos to show off the program and what the students in it do. It was really fun especially considering that I've taken just about everything so questions about any class was a breeze for me. Making Progress ( The Fates That Bind Us )

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG! Happy holidays as the air grows colder and the children get excited for their brake from school I myself have found that this winter brake is going to be quite the eventful one which is actually a step away from the norm for me. Despite the fact that I'm going to probably hang out with friends a lot and going to visit a country that I have at least a 30% chance of getting mugged ( maybe an under or over statement as I didn't check any statistics other than personal experience ) there is a for certain fact that working on my drawing skills is still going to be a high priority that I will continue to work on and chapters for TFTBU will be thought about. However, during the time I spend in El Salvador ( beautiful country but very violent...) I won't be able to post and work on anything digital as any and everything worth more than $10 is going to be staying at my house rather then go with me. As for the week I am not there, there is still the possibility that I won't find much time to work on anything too time consuming such as posts and or chapters so prepare for a large break ( p.s. I know I haven't posted awhile on the blog so those who only read the blog already have gone through a large break and I apologies but those who follow my book know that I have not been just lazing around but instead working very hard on that. ).
Before we start I also want to mention that there is going to be announced after the HP so do look forward to that.

 This first picture ( I know! Two pics today! ) is one where I was doing some basic practice with poses and anatomy using several images of people. It is worth noting that these pictures I used were not sketches but actual people which is a slight indicator to my growth. The ones inked are the ones from pictures while the other were one of two things. Either drawings I did of live subjects, top left, of just practice of anatomy off the top of my head, bottom.

This next one was actually one I did that was to practice getting form down. I actually used a very popular painting as my guide in order to get the pose. While I got the majority of the direction and form down pretty ok-ish, the hands suffered quite a bit...

And with that, today's HP comes to a close. It may have been a bit short and unorganized but it was really hard to get everything I needed for finals set up and then get this post together. Let's move onto the announcements though. First off I'd like to announce that very soon I will be working on my first comic series which will be a ginormous step forward from where we started a little over a year ago. Many fans of TFTBU would know that I want to turn that into a comic series and that I've actually worked on some concept art ( here ) but, for me to make that a comic series that would fit my vision for it will have to have me with some experience and much better at art then I am at the moment as the series is designed to be a very visually focused series ( kinda why it is so hard to try and make it a written novel...). So, for my first comic series I am actually going to follow in the footsteps of one of my favorite artist, https://randowis.deviantart.com/, who wanted to make an original story comic but first did just cartoon renditions of events that he experienced in his life. Being a huge influence on me and also me having quite the interesting life stories, I thought about doing the exactly that. For a title I have thought a lot longer than I did when I made TFTBU with something kinda like, "Slightly Uncommon " or something along those lines. I am planning to post any comics on webtoons most likely but I'll make sure to explain clearly if I do or not.  If you have any other ideas I would be glad to hear them so do make sure to contact me with any of the listed contact options I have listed here.
Speaking of contact info, it is worth noting that I have added two new ways to get in touch with me. The new ways you can contact me is through the game chat service of Discord which I have actually made a sever for already and through Line. As for future options to look for, I have begun to work on a Patreon account once I get final products of concept arts and profiles for TFTBU done so make sure to look for that although I will announce when it comes out. Improvements

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG! Today's might be a bit different from the usual posts as normally don't talk much about my personal life other than band but this post will have some personal life stuff.  So first things first, I'm actually trying to get my first job! I've had " jobs " before such as working with my dad or family friends but never anything like working at a commercial store. It's a really big step in my life and I really hope that I can use the money from said job to buy more things I need like art supplies, cameras, and I think that's really it for the things I need...
 Anyways moving onto the next topic, my current sketch book ( much like my last ) is falling apart. Those who know me know that I am not a very gentle person... So since my drawings are... Tear-able ( sorry) I decided to buy another sketch book. Usually this wouldn't be something I would bring up but, usually I have had a history of buying cheaper stuff as I feel that one who is in the process of getting better at a certain skill. They should not buy the fanciest stuff. It's not an ideal I push to others but that is the ideal I go with. Anyways back on topic, as today's HP will show I have improved a little. So once I finish all the pages of my current $1 Wal-mart sketchbook I will graduate to my brand new $5, hard cover, Artist Loft sketchbook! Still pretty cheap but it will most definitely be an upgrade for me!
I think that is a good point to stop personal life stuff and move on to the HP.

 The HP may be a smaller one than usual with only two drawings but it does have an interesting revelation to it. The drawing on the left was one I basically copied off of Pinterest as it was made to be a practice. However, the smaller drawing on the right is much different. It is less basic shapes and more silhouetted and that was not a sketch that I saw online. That was a pose, which I'll post below, of an actual person. I started with whats called, " lines of actions " which is basically stick figures that one uses to be their base. From there, I used some reference from the picture to the anatomy in order to piece it together. Lastly I inked most of it with a pen only leaving out parts I want to improve. This step up from straight up having to copy or trace a sketch is a huge step for me as in a drawing I haven't posted but may someday. I came across a problem where I could get the head shape quite right so I got my camera, set the timer and posed. For the first time I can actually just use a photography of a person in order to get basic poses down. Very soon I might be able to start working on the comic series that I am currently writing as a book which you can read on the link on the face -> 0-0.
Speaking about my series, I want to make a different title and cover so suggestions are highly appreciated. Not only that but I have published an entirely new chapter so it's worth checking it out! For those who haven't read it yet, I'd highly recommend you to check it out and to remember that as a new novelist I am open to critic just as I am with my artwork. That's all I have for today. Almost in the Clear

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG! As many of you know, I have been very busy for the past few months with highschool marching band. This has made making post very difficult since August ( when practice had started. ). With the season just about being over with me only having two, non competitive, show performances left and the only days of the week of having after and before school practices being now only once a week for the next two weeks, post will be more frequent at least in theory. There is no 100% certainty to that claim as I am going to try and get a job for money and who knows what projects I'll get that might make it harder to get post out but I will do my best. That's enough on that though, lets get started on today's post.

No matter how busy I am, I as always I am working hard to ensure that my artistic skills can improve. This is a page where I started trying to figure out the facial features and shape of the main character of the story I'm writing ( This is a link to said story ). Those who've read my story know that the main character is made to not be a very confident and brave character. Wanting to represent these characteristics starting with the eyes. Getting some advice from one of my friends to do more of a droopy eye shape which I think works really well with the top right one. The eyes that are in the middle that are much more sharper was a style I feel most comfortable doing but with the main character it won't work very well. It might work for some other characters though.
On to another topic, if you feel like supporting me and my blog along with the other things I do online then I'd like to take the time to bring up my print shop in Deviant Art. On my page I have made a few photo's into prints for anyone to buy the prints. Said prints can be bought in various forms such as an art print, canvas, or as a photo. Someday I may make drawings into prints but, as of my current skill in drawing I do not feel that my art would be worthy of being bought yet. The link to my page will be right here! 
I also created a snapchat account so make sure to check that out when you get the chance on my contact me page. After getting snapchat I realized how awkward I am at using things of the sorts but I will try and make it where you could learn a little about my day to day life a little better. Probably not going to go far with that probably as I am planning on posting YouTube videos at some point.

 
  ( Picture of me working on blog ). I'm not the person who thinks vloging when one doesn't do that much different from the usual works very well. However, as I find myself getting closer and closer to college and having to think of practicing more and more in the things I want to do such as film, animation, game design and so on. I feel that experimenting would be a good way to not only a good way to experience new things but to also get some practice.
I'm also still working very hard on the next chapter in the book I am writing ( Link here ). I haven't finished the 8th chapter yet as I planned for it to be another major part of the story but I am having second thoughts on just how and what should be done. Another thing that could be done is that I could take a break from the action and take a moment to just have a few fun/filler chapters in order for the pacing to be much better as I feel the story has gone a bit too fast. Who knows, make sure to check it out and give me some ideas. I'd greatly appreciate and I know that the story is kinda garbage at the moment as it was planned heavily as a comic series meaning that parts with intense action like fights are very hard to portray in words.
Lastly I would like to take a moment to thank you guys for being patient through my dry posting periods. Things in my day to day life have been taking a lot of time and energy and for you guys to be so patient is just great :3. Back at it Again!

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG! It seems like the periods between post have been getting longer and longer and with my constant attempts to shorten them failing awfully. Have I given up on my blog? Nope! I know I've said it a hundred times but I'm sure that I'll end up saying it a hundred more that I am going to try my best to get post out as much as possible even if that ruins the scheduled. If you like the blog then just subscribe so that you can get notified of post and you'll have no problem! Might sound like a cheesy money grab from subscribers but honestly that'll never happen with the amount of page views I get. Anyways Lets get started on the stuff you came here for.

SO this page is my attempts on copying facial expressions of characters of some of my favorite web-comics. The comics such as " I Love Yoo" and " The Beehive " are both from the site Webtoons while " Four Leaf " is from Tapastic. Both are great sites and the comics are ones I'd highly recommend for others to read as they are fun to read and have good art styles. Readers of this blog know that I myself want to start a comic series but at the moment my artistic skills are not yet at the level to do that however, I have gotten the story of an idea for a comic series and been working on it on the story writing site of Wattpad. I'd love for any of my readers to go check that out in the link of the face 0-0. I've spent quite some time on it and even got a few chapters released but with the lack of time I've had it has been a real mess trying to work on it so I'd love to hear some critic on it just as I always ask for. 

Now for a little insight of just where in the never ending void of band has my time gone I've been taking a lot of photos with a new camera I bought ( Sony Cyber Shot DSC-H300) of things at football games and band competition which I will post here!

 The press box and a band that I'm not a part of at the Yamaha Band Cup Competition. This was on the side that only other competing bands could view from. This allowed us to get a view of the back side of the show. This took place at Judson High school.

 A fellow band member of mine who is a huge music nerd. He sat in the middle and away from the rest so that he could study the other bands. After this picture I asked him about his thoughts about the band he saw when I took the picture and he wasn't impressed...

That's just some of the dozen pictures I've taken of my band travels and there are more to come as the season still got some weeks left. 

Anyways, band isn't the only thing I have been taking pictures for. 

As many of you probably know, I have a Deviant Art account that I post some art on and as of now I have started posting picture prints. These are photos that while aren't taken by the best photographer as I just started ( especially when I'm using a camera for filming class, working on drawing, Trumpet, school and my book.) but they are pretty good, come in a variety of shapes and forms and everyone has at least a days work of editing in Photoshop and or Lightroom in order to give the best possible quality. I am looking to get better equipment and enroll into classes so a little income would be nice. You want to support me then that is fantastic and you could get a nice photograph print ( maybe even art in the future ) for yourself. The link will be in the face right here o3o. It's been awhile...

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG! It has been way too long but the first few weeks of school have been rough and with all the collage courses, band and clubs I have had my days jammed packed and it leaves me with just about no energy or motivation to do anything after it all finishes for the day 0_0. Thankfully, in all this chaos and long days I have had one thing that hasn't been stopped by all of this. What I have been able to do is drawing which means that for awhile even if I break my hands I will have more material for you ;3. That being said I want to only post one drawing at a time in order to be able to have continuous stuff for you! So let's get started.

So this is one of the best anatomy based sketches I've done in my long absence and while it has come out pretty good it was only by luck as most sketches after aren't as great... But, that is not all bad news. The fact that my skill was strong enough to be able to draw ok like this even with luck is a great step forward. This was done with a reference from a site called Art Models which features " safe for work " pics that you can use for drawings. The pic I used was of a guy running but as you can tell...it didn't become that but that doesn't mean that its a terrible sketch!
While my skills have so much more to go I have improved quite a bit. It's a bit crazy to think that ever since a little more than a year ago when I decided that I would become an artist I have not gone a day where I don't draw at all. I know I haven't posted everyday and I don't even do big sketches every day but, whenever I'm in the classroom, eating lunch or even just doing home work I always do some doodles on the side drawing anything I see or think of and maybe I'll post some pics of examples of my homework doodles ( sounds like a good segment). Who knows but yeah, it's amazing to think how much time and effort I've put in this dream that as a kid I hated but now I love it and it is slowly becoming a reality.
Lastly, before I end today's post I want to talk about the book I'm writing as that is another thing that has been postponed from all of my busyness so I am still working on it ( also planning to tone it down in the seriousness at the beginning as it feels wrong at the beginning ). Also, once my drawing gets better I can begin drawing a few pics of scenes so it can be more of a light novel kind of thing cause this is a series I've thought of as a comic so adding the drawings would be really cool but that will take months maybe for my skill to get better. Trying new things and also Update in Schedule

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG! Today we are going to talk about some things like my schedule and how it will effect posts and updates to my blog and book. I also want to bring up a new method to try and improve my art skills ( I swear I haven't been slacking despite the lack of posts and content...) so lets get started.

First let's start on one of the more interesting parts of today's post. So recently I've trying to use more orthodox methods of art practice such as purchasing the book I did earlier this summer and now using a doll in order to have a mold able pose reference. It is a really good practice and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone trying to get into art but there was one thing I just noticed.

This is a drawing I did quiet a while back and shared on this blog. This was done within the first month of me practicing and beginning of this blog. 

 
This is a drawing done just this weekend almost a year later from the other drawing and is a sketch of the model at the very top of the page. I know its a bit hard to see but comparing the two I can't help but feel like despite the year of practice, studying of techniques and the guide that my skills as an artist are not getting better but rather worse. This does scare me a bit but by no means does it mean I'm going to stop drawing. It just means that I'm going to have to try and figure what works more and follow it and make sure to make time to draw as much as possible ( although finding the ideas and energy are the hard part..).
Anyways that was just the art topics I wanted to bring up in today's post. the next is a bit more happier and isn't about art. So for most of you out there in the U.S. are still in your summer period but as a band student or anyone in a very competitive school activity would tell you that their summer period has ended most likely. This is the very same case for me and having to practicing might drain me a bit. Keyword is " might " as last year I blogged no problem and with practice already starting I am still able to post and have energy so even though this post is a little late don't expect too many delays. However I've really been needing to edit the chapters already written in my book and begin writing the new ones which may be an entirely different story. For those of you who don't know I've started writing a book series on the site Wattpad and in excitement and anticipation of lack of energy and time I wrote the first chapter in an hour and the next 4 chapters the night of that day... That being said much editing must be done to many of those chapters. Also, What made me want to write the story was that I was getting a little tired on waiting on my art skills to make my story idea into a comic series like a friend of mine has done on Tapastic here " https://tapas.io/series/A-Problem-of-Personhood " ( hopefully they won't get made at me for posting the link to their comic in my blog with like 10 viewers...) and its been a good year that I've had the idea for the story so I decided to make it a book here. Youtube Video!!!

Hello and wow!!! It's been awhile since my last post but it's because I'm been busy as can be with finals, exams and...final exams... Pulling through!!!

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG and today sadly I have no HP for you and that is because the project that I posted yesterday did take a lot of time and effort as it was not just four drawings but  four animations but the reason for no HP is not because of me taking a break ( as many would be right to think giving my history on this blog >-<) but because I put so much into the project that I was not happy having the last part with the ramen cup. That being said now that I have turned in the project and need not worry about the deadline I am going to try and work only on that last drawing to try and make it lots better. Now when said drawing is done I will not post it on this website but rather on my Deviant Art at,

which it will be available as a non animated higher quality Print. Some of you may be asking, " what

a print?", to which I will tell you what it is. A Print is a picture that is drawn or captured ( like with

a camera not captured in the Poke'mon sense) that a person can buy on my Deviant Art in order to 

have it. There are many reasons why I am doing it and the first and foremost is that the parts that will

be for sale are the ones I feel are really nice and I think that you guys would love it to! ( or maybe 

just pity me and what to make me feel better which I'll take >-<) The next reason is because I have 

been saving up for the cheapest drawing tablet on the market so that I don't have to use the mouse 

anymore and having something I made and having your support to try and reach that goal would 

be really nice :3. Plus I have no job since I am busy with things like my studies so having a way to

make cash be really nice and while I've talked about things like Patreon ( forgive misspelling >-<)

I don't think that my content at this point nor the quality of it is worth a monthly donation system. 

That being said, I would like to someday make a comic series like I've talked many times on this 

blog about doing but with so little time, lack of great story ideas and lack of art skills I want to give

myself more time to work, improve and make sure that whatever I give in a story to you guys is 

going to be the best gosh darn thing I can give you :3 ( a lot unlike these HP's or blog post >-<). Now

this post is just me rambling on so be a bit patient as there might be more... So let's see... AH YES!!! 

some may be confused about the title of this post but if you visit my Deviant Art that is the quote I

by someone who knows?) didn't fit... so yeah. I guess that is all for today, I hope that more people

HP of the day!

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG, as of today I am back to my regular schedule so expect more post and content than last week. Now, before I start I just want to let you know that I will not be showing the sketch I started on Friday as I found out that blending with color pencils is not easy if possible and I do have another work in progress that while ok in quality and incomplete it is something I am ok with showing and while it is bigger than most sketches I posted it is still not able to rival the one I have in store for later so do be looking forward to that. With that said let us start today's HP.

In advance I apologize for the blur of the picture. Now I am working on a project that will be digitized but as of right now I am working on the sketch for my outline to work with. I know it is a bit hard to tell what it is at this point but it is a forest scene with trees, a bridge and a river that said bridge goes over. Now I've always had trouble drawing trees and I've never even attempted a river so for this sketch I am using many guides to help me out. I did only spend a little time on this piece as getting back into the grind of things after my break did test my attention span today so while I would never complete this in one day I could have gotten farther when I back to getting into the groove of things ( and if LOZBOTW wasn't so good TvT). So with that today's post comes to a close. I hope that you enjoyed my terrible art that has slightly improved with the creation of this blog and if you have then make sure to share this with any of your friends that enjoy art and can critic it. Lastly, I know I said I would try making a comic soon but not only does my art skills need refining but I am having a bit of trouble with thinking of a story that I would want to be epic... Sure I will make comics of things that happen in my life ( or sometimes made up but that would be up to you to find out ^-^) but I also want to make an action comic. I've gone through dozens of story, character and setting ideas but every time I start thinking of something I get bored of it, it becomes too complex or is just plain cheese. The point I am getting at is I want to know from any story writers on how do you come up with a great story? I would like to be able to do such to provide people with a action packed narrative rich story but as one would it expect it takes quite the patience and skill. Anyways that was a quick beg for advice from you guys aside from the usual art critic I ask for. I know I extended this post after I said that was all and I'm sorry but when I was writing the thought popped into my head and I was hoping you guys could help me out. Remember that if you want to give me advice or just contact me in general I do have the contact me page setup with numerous ways to do such. HP of the day and day two of 30 day art challenge

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG where we dream of the day where these post could be in comic form rather than words... * Sad MLG air horn music * Anyways I do not have the skill to do so so this will have to do ( yes I know I used so twice but if you read with a very slight pause between them it sounds right and I didn't know how to word it better). So let's get started with today's HP which is also part of the 30 day art challenge. Today's challenge was to draw the offspring of two improbable animals an I'll be honest, I got really lazy and just looked up what I wanted on google images and just drew which ever looked best. I looked up a bird mixed with a T-Rex and I ended up drawing this.

After yesterday's post kinda got deep I liked that this one came more light hearted. I also like how while I drew this in a rush at like 3 minutes, the head came out decent at least which I like ignoring the horrible body. It was something really fun to draw as I tried to draw this him with a smile being all happy not knowing what kind of abomination he is but he's cute to me ^-^! When thinking of what to draw I thought it'd be nice to draw something that is far off but still kinda related which brought me to birds and dinosaurs since it is a strong theory that some species of dino's evolved into lizards as you'd expect but the T-Rex is thought to have evolved into birds like other species. Anyways I drew this with my .9 mm and .7 mm pencils for all the line work and basic design. The very poor shading was me using my hard and soft charcoal pencils and it just came out horribly but that's alright. Well, that brings us to the end of today's post. Welcome to DevianArt episode: 6

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG and to another episode of Welcome to DeviantArt, a segment where I compare art I have attempted at making and compare it to the likes of more established artist on the popular site DeviantArt. This week has been a rough one and I haven't been able to post much and most that I did post was pretty bad so this post may not feature the greatest artwork pretty much how this blog in a whole has bad artwork but let's just get started.

For our first drawing by me it is a sad attempt at a person sitting at the desk and then raise their hand. The drawing that I am going to compare for this one is one that has already been used because I am having trouble finding one on the site at the moment.

This drawing is made by DeviantArt user by ilolamai and the main thing that I would see that I need to put more effort in my drawing is the style, the lower portions of the body and the hands. I would try to improve more but this weeks HP have to be taking lightly as most of the week I have been having trouble as the poisoning ( food poisoning, nothing serious ) has messed with me this week. Moving onto the next HP with that in mind now.

This drawing was mainly for me to try out my new charcoal set and while its shading looks like crap I still think it is the best out of this week >-<.

shading which is something I improve on later ^-^. That brings us to the end of today's post. I

HP of the day!

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG. If you didn't see yesterday's post then you probably don't know that I wasn't feeling very well and I believed I had a virus or sickness of some sort as in my area there has been a lot of the sorts going around but it turned out I wasn't sick and only had a case of food poisoning and after some rest I feel a lot better today but still a little weak so please bear with me today as I don't have a very good HP today but I will post one and it won't be an experiment work like last time. Without further ado lets do this!

This was a little something I tried doing yesterday while feeling a bit sick so it is very bad to me and it is just something for me to put up for the day today so just like last times there is no need for any critic as it's just not something I would consider showcases how much I've progressed or even me at a basic level as I did feeling like half dead when drawing it >-<. So I hope that the recent lack of good HP's has not discouraged you as a viewer as it hasn't for me as a creator and I will try and get better content up but again with me having to deal with the food poisoning and being busy in family matters has really eaten my time and strength. Webcomics

Hello and welcome to another post of LLG, today we are moving away from the animation topic that has been on recent post but still in the art category. If you have read the title, then you would know that the topic of the day is webcomics! As always the first question this blog likes to answer for any topic ( no matter how small ) is what the topic is. So, webcomics are comics that are on the web. So, where would one post such a comic? There are numerous ways to post a comic series. The first and easiest way is to post it on social media.

Sites like Deviant Art are made mainly to showcase one's art. Sites like these can double for posting webcomics. Sadly I don't know much else about the site but I am 50% sure that it is made to where you can't get paid for comics which is true for other sites similar like tumblr. Now, another way to set up a web comic is through a blog such as the very one you are reading. This is possible and very manageable but despite that I have not made a comic as I am just not at the skill level needed to make multiple characters, background and movements in my art yet but do know that in the future this may happen. Sadly like Deviant art you can't get paid by yourself but you can set up an ad system in order to get money very similar to youtube ( please note that there are no ads on this blog as I haven't set up the ad system and will not be doing so). Now, for the final place that is a good place for a webcomic is a site/app that I have mentioned on this blog before and that is the site tapastic.

Tapastic is a site where you can not only post stories you write but also the stories you draw as a webcomic. The site can be viewed online on desktop or on the mobile app. This is the site I know the most about as I never really visit the others sites as often and tapastic makes it very easy to find things I do enjoy ^-^. Now, sadly I do not know the specific way people get paid I do know that there are three ways that are huge possibilities. The first is the most obvious which is the premium comics on the site which require you to buy coins with real currency and use said coins to buy keys to unlock comics, I am not a hundred percent sure how this works though. Next up is the ads on the site and app which are said to explicitly there to help the site and the creators which when you make comics for mostly free is pretty nice on both sides. Lastly is the brand new experimental tipping system. With this, even if a comic is free to read on the site you can use the coins used to buy keys to also " tip " creators you feel deserve the little boost. Now, lets say you don't want to deal with that site and stick to your Deviant Art and or tumblr but still want a little pocket money for things you may want or need.

Well then, why don't you consider making a Patreon account? Patreon is a site where creators, like yourself, can still make content of any sorts where ever you choose. So, how does this work to get money? Well, if you have fans willing to support you, they can give you money in appreciation through your Patreon page and you can even set up special gifts or perks based on your content to give to these " Patrons ". There are many options for creators out there but there is a catch as always. You can always post things for fun or even the learning experience but if you want to be able to support yourself on said creations you have to work hard, practice and study a lot. Even after you perfect your skills to make content you have to be able to then make content that you feel proud of and that others will like in order for them to support your work. As I've probably said on this blog before my dream is to become a game designer/animator/most things in media today. Through a lot of practice and work I've learned coding, 3-D modeling and animating, I've learned at least the basics of adobe software like photoshop, illustrator, and premiere, and through lots of practice and hard work I am currently trying my very best to be able to learn how to develop a story, plot, characters and their environments and to be able to translate all of those things on a piece of paper or on a virtual paper. So, to ends today's post as I do with most I'm going to ask a question that I'll never get a response for but it does help my mind to try and think of the topic so I'd like to know, " are any of you guys out there planning to start a series of any type ( you don't have to say about what I just am curious if you guys are interested on the topic) and if yes, what are some steps you are taking and for the ones who are currently doing so, what steps did you take?" Music Feature, Comic Feature , the Labeling System and Post Schedule

Hello and welcome to another post of Living in the Land of the Giants and since I didn't post yesterday and cause I have a lot to talk about in this post it is going to be a big one so hope you guys enjoy and I'll just jump right into it. To start things off I started using the labeling system on blogger for this blog so if you guys are only into the art, game or music post then you can just look at the bottom of a post with said content and there will be orange letters that will take you to any post in this blog about those things.

Also if you notice on this post's labels there will be another section called " blog ". That is a label to list things that talk about how this blog will work such as commenting, labels and post schedule. Next thing I'd like to talk about is what the post schedule will be. Since I've been getting used to this I've been experimenting on how I can post and still get things I have to do in my regular life so now that I got a feeling of what it's like I have come up with a schedule. So, I will do two post everyday expect for Fridays and Sundays because those days I have so much stuff on my plate I can barely do stuff already let alone do a blog post on those days. That being said I will post bigger post on Saturdays and Mondays and have two HPs on those days or one big HP. So, for today's topic I want to talk about a comic artist that I think is great who goes by Yuu who posts on a website I love called Tapastic filled with great content.

 Now onto the music side onto things, the creator of the comic series Anti-Social Media ( Yuu ) also has a sound cloud account and where she post songs that she sings. She has even gone as far as using a sound bank software to make a vocaloid of herself. I Enjoy the content she makes ^_^ and I think you guys would to so links to her stuff will be posted so you guys can go check her stuff out. So with today's post I wanna know, " What is the goal you've struggled the most to achieve and why?" For me trying to be an artist when starting off so late and with little talent may be hard but it is surprisingly not the hardest goal I've strived to reach. No, for me the hardest goal I had was trying to be a black belt in taekwondo. Many of my friends will think that's absurd because I am pretty strong at the moment but for me it wasn't always like that. When I first started in martial arts I weighed more than I do now and that was 6 years ago! not to mention I had a bad case of asthma that once even got me hospitalized. Lot's of times I thought of giving up but through determination and people always taking it hard on me I pressed forward becoming one of the strongest fighters in my dojo even compared to ex-marines! That being said I can't wait to hear ya''ll guys stories and can't wait to work on my next post ^-^.
